About Us

The Spicy Roundnet Club formed in the summer of 2015. A group of seven friends from Massachusetts that spent way too much time playing roundnet together, Spicy was just a natural extension of the fun these guys were already having hanging out and ’balling together.

Spicy made big strides in 2015, including placing teams third and fourth at East Regionals, fifth at Southeast Regionals and hosting one of the most highly anticipated tournaments to date, the Spicy Roundnet’s Indoor Flurry presented by Tomahawk Shades, which featured some of the best players from around the country. In 2016, Spicy is looking to keep making a name for itself at tournaments all around the country and perhaps expand its numbers, but more importantly to keep bringing the fun and the spice to the game that brought them into the Spikeball community in the first place.

Spicy Creamcycle is composed of the Natick duo Mike White and Nick Sant. Their first tournament was actually in a freezing Montreal during November 2014. The team name started as "Creamsicle" but the mispronunciation of the Canadians warranted a change to "Creamcycle". Mike and Nick won this first tournament of theirs and later went on to have success elsewhere, taking 4th at the Chicago Grand Slam and  3rd at East Regionals.

Spicy Dirt started their career off hot, placing 4th at East Regionals 2015, their first tournament together. Al and Anthony play scrappy and quick defense and have an offense packed with versatile hits and drop shots. The pair grabbed their first tournament victory in October at the Concord Open. Fun fact: they pride themselves on their sock game.

Spicy Hands is the newest Spicy team (formerly Smash Bros. and Buttered Chocolate) and makes the 3rd UMass-based Spicy pair. Owen and Scott are both Natick natives like most of Spicy and joined the group at the start of 2016.
